A car going the wrong way on a Ga. 400 ramp is likely to attract attention from police.

And so it was last week when Alpharetta officers found a cache of drugs and a gun loaded with hollow-point bullets in a car, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Officers arrested Devin Dennis and passenger Markel Sanders on drug-related charges, according to Channel 2

An officer saw a car going the wrong way on a Ga. 400 off-ramp near Haynes Bridge Road and made a stop.

According to dashcam video, the officer told Dennis, "You can drive on the right side of the road, but you pulled onto the left side of the road."

"That's because I was scared of another car hitting me,” Dennis responded.

The officer became suspicious when he smelled burned marijuana, which gave him probable cause to search the car, according to Channel 2.

"(The car) contained quite a bit of marijuana, Ecstacy, a loaded firearm, and some THC oil," police spokesman Howard Miller said.

Dennis and Sanders have since bonded out of the Fulton County Jail.
