Authorities are looking for a Gwinnett County woman who they said ran a $100,000 methamphetamine operation in two counties.
Tonya Loudermilk, 40, of Duluth, “is a fugitive and is currently wanted for trafficking methamphetamine in Habersham and Gwinnett counties,” Habersham Sheriff Joey Terrell said in a Facebook post.
Three members of the meth trafficking organization have already been arrested, Terrell said. One of them, he said, tried to flush more than 4 pounds of the drug down a toilet as authorities closed in on him at Loudermilk’s apartment.
The arrests came after a lengthy surveillance by the sheriff’s office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office. That investigation revealed that Jennifer Bone was selling methamphetamine for Loudermilk, Terrell said.
Bone, 36, of Demorest, and Ronald Jones, 34, of Cornelia, were arrested Thursday at a Circle K convenience store in Hollywood and taken to the Habersham County Detention Center on meth trafficking charges, Terrell said. Less than 1 pound of meth was found in their car, he said.
After Bone and Jones were arrested, Gwinnett sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at Loudermilk’s residence, the Island Apartments on Satellite Boulevard, Terrell said.
Loudermilk was not home.
Authorities did, however, find Derek Lynn Cagley trying to flush the meth down the toilet and about $20,000, Terrell said.
Cagley, 40, of Newnan, was arrested on the meth trafficking charges and taken to the Gwinnett County Detention Center, authorities said.
Anyone with information about Loudermilk’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
