An Acworth man allegedly broke into nearly a dozen cars at an auto repair shop and ran from police before being arrested, authorities said.

Acworth police arrested Justin Copson on more than a dozen charges, including obstruction, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Copson allegedly broke into at least seven cars at Clay Auto Repair in Marietta on Friday, Channel 2 reported. Police arrived as Copson was allegedly attempting to use a screwdriver to start a pickup truck before running away.

Police said they chased him into a Cobb County neighborhood before he briefly broke into a mobile home, Channel 2 reported. He then allegedly exited the home and was surrounded by cops.

Copson allegedly reached for his waistband before an officer used a Taser on him, the news station reported. Police said they found several knives in his backpack.

No officers were injured.
