Police have arrested a Conyers man on murder charges in connection with a deadly home invasion near Snellville.

Terrence Darnell Lee, 32, was arrested Thursday. According to a Gwinnett County police news release, he faces multiple charges in the Aug. 2 death of 27-year-old Kemar Hawkins, including home invasion, aggravated assault and felony murder.

Hawkins was found shot inside a home in the 3500 block of Grand Manor Trail early that morning and later died at a local hospital, the release said. The shooter entered the home by prying the screen off an open window.

He’s also accused of two other home invasions, including one that occurred in the same neighborhood July 28, the release said. Lee has been charged with armed robbery, home invasion and aggravated assault in that crime.

On July 29, he allegedly broke into a home in the 4000 block of Moonbeam Way in unincorporated Snellville, the release said. Lee faces charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in that incident.

Police said he’s also a suspect in cases in Hillsborough County, Fla., Rockdale County and Snellville. Additional charges may be filed.

He is being held in the Gwinnett County jail without bond, records show.
