Wayne Richichi is a proud member of the Creepers Car Club in Marietta. He’s also the owner of this fabulous 1937 Plymouth. He developed a love for all things Plymouth as a young boy while watching and riding in the cars owned by his father.  Cars like his will be part of the Creepers Car Show on June 9. The annual show boasts hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles.

Porsche goes hi-tech for repairs

Porsche Cars North America is launching a program that uses augmented reality technology to handle car repairs at dealerships across the country. The company is rolling out Tech Live Look, a system that connects Porsche technicians to experts through the use of smartglasses. This system may shorten the time it takes to make repairs by up to 40 percent, according to Porsche officials.

AJC to give award at June classic car show in Marietta

In June, car lovers will make their way to Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta for the Creepers Car Club's Fun Run #28. Hundreds of classic cars and trucks will be on display and one car owner will be awarded the AJC Creepers Club Cup.  Cost to attend the June 9 show is $5, and kids under 12 will be admitted for free.  The show begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m.

Wagner purchased the mid-engine sports car from the original owner back in 1986 and didn’t get to drive it very much.  Recently, he freshened up the engine, tires and wheels, and made a few minor fixes so he could enjoy the Pantera.

A recent car show in Dawsonville brought together a lot of horsepower and generosity.  The  2017 Rides to Remember generated more than $20,000 for local charities as dozens of car enthusiasts got close-up views of some really cool cars.  More than 100 vehicles from all over the South rolled into Atlanta Motorsports Park in June for the show.

Cobb County car club donates $22,000 to local charities

An impressive display of cool cars in Marietta this summer has led to the distribution of some needed cash for two metro Atlanta charities. On Tuesday, members of the Creepers Car Club in Marietta presented donations totaling $22,000 to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation and Special Olympics Cobb County during the club’s monthly meeting in Kennesaw.

In less than two weeks, hundreds of metro Atlanta car enthusiasts will bring their coolest rides to a Marietta park to help raise money for charity. The Creepers Fun Run #26 will be held in Jim R. Miller Park on Saturday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will include music, a swap meet, door prizes and other activities.

Affectionately called “Mr. B,” the car is not only a staple at car shows, but this looker also has been a member of the family for 50 years. The Bakers have traveled roads all over this country in this bright red roadster.
