What happened between Katt Williams and Wanda Smith? Atlanta radio host Wanda Smith has been in the news lately after an interview with controversial comic Katt Williams. Smith and her V-103 co-host Frank Ski interviewed Williams about an upcoming show, and spectators described the exchange with Smith as tense. Williams quipped about Wanda's cooking and her weight. Comic Katt Williams told the Gwinnett County police Saturday night that V-103's Wanda Smith's husband pointed a gun at him outside the Atlanta Comedy Theater in Norcross.

According to a police report, Smith's husband LaMorris Sellers said his gun had merely fallen out. He told cops he did chase Williams into a nearby supermarket but did not point a gun at him.

The incident between Sellers and Williams “stemmed from an interview that Wanda conducted with Katt previously in Atlanta,” the report said.

1. Wanda Smith has held her post at V-103 radio for several years.

Smith and Ski were co hosts from 1998 to 2012. She spent four years with Ryan Cameron from 2014 through early 2018, then joined Ski when he returned earlier this year.

She has been a reliable second seat host for the station. She's affable and funny.

2. She is also a comedian.  

When not on air or hosting one of the many events during the day and evening with listeners, you can find Wanda Smith on stage entertaining crowds with her comedic hilarity. She continues to support her first love at Atlanta Comedy Theatre every Saturday by hosting two shows.

3. She underwent a surgery last year that left her off-air for several weeks. 

V-103 morning host Wanda Smith is recovering from surgery after an abscess was removed from her ovary.

She was on her way to visit relatives in Mississippi when she started feeling pain in her stomach area. Her husband LaMorris drove her to an emergency room in Mobile, Ala. where they spent time testing her to figure out what was wrong. After an MRI, they found the abscess.

She spent more than two weeks in two different hospitals but was then on the road to recovery and returned to air shortly thereafter.

4. She started an organization called Girls Stand Together, Inc. to empower young girls. 

In her bio, she says her new organization “empowers young girls to be amazing young women and is currently in its incubation and the greatness doesn’t stop there.”

5. She loves Atlanta

She has reportedly been named Atlanta's Happiest Girl in Atlanta's Good Life Magazine, in their Who's Who in Black Atlanta Empowered Women's edition. In her bio on V-103, she talks about the love and support from her husband LaMorris and children Tavares, Giovanni and Isaiah. "Their constant love, support, understanding and willingness to share her with the city of Atlanta is what makes her the phenomenal woman that she is," her bio states.
