For music lovers, Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton bring their magical sounds to City Winery.

Halloween, though, is just around the corner, so there’s something for those who like a little fright in their day.

Here are some suggestions for your weekend.

Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton

Luther Vandross knew it. The Rolling Stones and Tina Turner did as well.

It’s no secret. Lisa Fischer has one of the most powerful, inventive voices in the business with a range that is jaw dropping.

Fisher spent decades singing backup for these musical icons and now draws audiences of her own.

She and the band Grand Baton will bring their magical sound to City Winery Atlanta on Oct. 26.

You may know her voice from the big hit, “How Can I Ease the Pain.” Or you probably heard her belt out the legendary “Gimme Shelter” with the Stones. She was also a star of the Oscar-winning documentary “Twenty Feet from Stardom.”

Grand Baton’s organic fusion of soul, progressive rock, African, Middle Eastern and Caribbean rhythms powers Fischer’s vocal flexibility in concert.

She recorded the title track for Billy Childs’ “Map to the Treasure” and created music with J.C. Maillard for the Alonzo King Lines Ballet.

7 p.m. Oct. 26. $45-$60. City Winery Atlanta, 650 North Ave., Ponce City Market, Atlanta. 404-946-3791. www.citywinery.com.
