Meal-kit startup owner’s Buckhead home features inviting test kitchen

The heart of Hadi Irvani’s home extends from his working kitchen into his dining room and great room, where he sometimes sets up extra tables to seat guests.

Irvani, who founded PeachDish, the Atlanta-based meal kit delivery company, frequently hosts dinners for two to more than 45 folks in his Buckhead home.

He and his team test out recipes in his kitchen three or four times a week. Sometimes, his diverse group of guests makes connections that last beyond the meal.

“Although I’m single, I have matched nine different couples,” he said.

Renovations: Irvani said he bought the home as a short sale and finished the kitchen with marble countertops and stainless steel appliances. He also added the front columns and new landscaping and hardscaping. Irvani, who enjoys fishing and mountain biking, also moved the laundry room downstairs so that he said he doesn't have to go upstairs after being outside.

Interior design style: Global and transitional. Irvani said he likes that it's homey and practical, yet fun and adventurous with items purchased during his travel.

Favorite collections: African masks. He started collecting them about eight years ago. "There's an under-appreciation for African art," he said.

Favorite outdoor elements: SunSetter awning and the back patio with slate, brick and pea gravel (he worked with Howard Design Studio).

Tip: Irvani, who admits he has a "bit of an obsession with mulch," said he sources free wood chips from Chip Drop (getchipdrop.com). "As a good Atlantan, I think it's our responsibility to mulch the trees and look after the trees," he said.
