Avondale Art Walk offers free, family fun in June

If this 4,000-square-foot house in Avondale Estates looks familiar, it's probably because it was a filming location for 'The Vampire Diaries"

Avondale Estate’s business district will host an art walk on Saturday, June 9 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Tudor Village will be transformed into a free, family friendly art party,  featuring live music, art demos, and art exhibits. The front parking area will be turned into a parklet with benches, picnic tables and activities including everything from live painting demonstrations to corn hole games.

The Avondale Art Walk is the brainchild of the Avondale Downtown Development Authority working to revitalize the downtown area. This month, five free art boxes were installed downtown. Similar to the little free library concept these tiny boxes are a place to leave a piece of art, take a piece of art.
