MLK Day of Service at Georgia Tech. 7:45 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 15. Georgia Tech. 350 Ferst Drive, Student Center, Atlanta. Registration details can be found at engage.gatech.edu/content/mlk-day-service-sunday-supper. Georgia Tech’s eighth annual MLK Day of Service is a campus-wide initiative honoring Dr. King. The Packaged Good and Homeless at Heart will host a volunteer community care packaging packing event to help serve the homeless and disadvantaged families in metro Atlanta. Volunteers will assist in packing 2,000 care packages. Sign up here for the care packaging packing day.

Decatur MLK Service Project. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1- 5 p.m., Jan. 13; 1-5 p.m., Jan. 14; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1-5 p.m., Jan 15.  www.mlkserviceproject.com/volunteers/

Various locations in Decatur's Oakhurst neighborhood. The City of Decatur hosts the 16th annual service project, which includes home repairs and yard work for Decatur senior citizens. Volunteers are needed for shifts from Saturday, Jan. 13 through Monday, Jan. 15. Volunteers meet at the Solarium at the Community Center of South Decatur. Project details.

Human Rights Campaign & Lost-n-Found Youth will hold a service project benefiting the homeless and at-risk LGBTQ youth in of honor Dr. King’s legacy of serving the less fortunate. Volunteers will help prep sandwiches and snack pack, organize and clean the storage area at Lost-n-Found’s consignment shop. Project details.
