“A TASTE OF AFRICAN HERITAGE”
Community cooking classes come to Norcross this summer, thanks to a partnership between Norcross Community Market, Summerour Middle School and Boston-based food and nutrition nonprofit Oldways. This series of six hands-on classes shows how to use traditional African foods to eat healthier. 4 p.m. every Monday, June 4-July 16 (no class on June 2). “TREE SCAVENGER HUNT AT OAKLAND CEMETERY”
Fourth and final day of a tree-themed scavenger hunt [https://www.oaklandcemetery.com/?event=tree-scavenger-hunt]that takes participants through the historic in-town cemetery where big name Atlantans from Margaret Mitchell and Bobby Jones to former mayors Ivan Allen Jr. and Maynard Jackson are buried. Teams purchase Tree Trek packets in the Visitors Center and Museum Shop and "follow the cryptic cemetery clues to solve riddles." “SHANIA TWAIN: NOW”
After intimating that her 2015 Philips Arena show would be part of her final tour, Twain released her first full album in 15 years last September. And now she's back with a show that features Bastian Baker as special guest.
