Ugly Christmas Sweater Day: 16 things to do this weekend in Atlanta

Time to get your dancing shoes on, Atlanta, because you won't want to miss the year's best Christmas parties and celebrations taking place around the Metro.

 From kid-friendly events to grown-ups-only bashes, there's a reason for everyone in your family to Deck the Halls this weekend. For those of you who don't feel like a crowd, you'll also find a few creative workshops to get you in the holiday spirit.

Put on your ugliest sweater this Friday as McCray's hosts a holiday celebration like no other. This festive and gaudy event will include contests, live music, drink specials and more.

The Carlos Museum will feature the Threads of Time: Tradition and Change in Indigenous American Textiles exhibition this Sunday, which will explore the history and development of indigenous fiber arts throughout America with over 149 examples on display.

Celebrate Christmas at a free festival this Saturday put together by Reynolds Printing, First Baptist Church Duluth, Stonemill Church Atlanta, Heart Strong Church and Korean Church of Atlanta UMC. It all takes place on the Duluth Town Green and will include a parade and a culturally rich collection of live music, dance performances and theatrical presentations.
