Where did summer go?

Pretty much to all the same places, Lyft says.

Last December the on-demand ride share service told us the most popular destinations in Atlanta in all of 2017.  There was less crossover than you might've thought with its 2016 list of top destinations.

But c’mon, summer is when everyone’s out and about; so it makes sense that Lyft has come out with its list of the most popular destinations for riders in Atlanta from May through July.

(And kudos to San Francisco-based Lyft for recognizing that with metro Atlanta's school systems all starting up this week and next, that pretty much means summer's over here! Although we have a feeling these spots will still get plenty of visitors in the coming months.)

The biggest fish swimming in the Lyft pool this summer? The Georgia Aquarium, which topped its “hot” list, based on number of pickups and dropoffs.

That’s followed by the W Atlanta in Midtown at No. 2 and Six Flags over Georgia at No. 3 (presumably Lyft’s drivers only take you to the entrance to the Austell park -- they don’t drop you off at the Twisted Cyclone or inside Hurricane Harbor).

A couple of locations on or near the Atlanta Beltline pointed out the continue growing popularity of that attraction as well.
