Learn how to make AC Hotel’s Flor de Bahia cocktail

I recently had a drink named Flor de Bahia at the AC Hotel in Buckhead. It was excellent and had a unique flavor that I cannot pinpoint. Can you tell me the ingredients in the drink with a recipe to prepare it? Thanks. — Vicky Murphy, Atlanta

This cocktail from the AC Lounge at the newly opened AC Hotel Atlanta Buckhead at Phipps Plaza is the creation of Chris Adams. It’s not a surprise that you might not be able to guess all the components as it relies on a wide range of spirits and guava juice.

If you want to duplicate the hotel’s presentation, dried pomegranate and a wide range of other dried fruits are available from http://nuts.com

Atlanta native thinks Southern food can be vegan -- and flavorful, too

As a child, Atlanta native Jenné Claiborne was a super-picky eater, yet she loved being in her grandmother’s kitchen. She baked mud pies and cakes in the mailbox and started cooking at age 7, making “the perfect kid-friendly recipe” of Sichuan chicken for her single mom.
