Atlantans have it made in the shade when it comes to getting the best meals on four wheels. There's something to satisfy every craving - savory, sweet, healthy or indulgent. It's our pleasure to help you map out the when's and where's.

All you have to do is show up with an empty stomach and adventurous palate to Atlanta food trucks.

Here are our top 5 food truck picks:

Bento Bus
Think outside of the box and try a healthy Japanese-inspired food truck focused on pleasing the foodies of Atlanta. They strive to use as many organic ingredients as possible, in addition to using eco-friendly wares and utensils. Your conscious and stomach will thank you.

Mix'd Up Burgers
Burger up! If beef is your pleasure, then you've located your long-lost food truck soulmate. In fact, you'll want to visit more than once to eat your way through their menu. Not in a burger mood? Try some of their loaded shoestring fries with the works. Yum.

Mac the Cheese
Mac and cheese is served up as a well-rounded meal at this food truck. Case in point: Order the BBQ Mac for smoked pulled pork over creamy cheddar macaroni and cheese, topped with house-made pimento cheese and pickles. If you can't quite wrap your head around that plate of awesome, you can also order a seasonal sandwich with a side of traditional mac 'n’ cheese. You'll leave happy and full.

The Fry Guy
If you've ever had the pleasure of eating Belgian style street waffles, then you'll know why this food truck is all the rage. You'll get a heaping cone of hand-cut, crispy fries to pair with one of their signature dipping sauces. We highly recommend the Parmesan Truffle Fries, covered in fresh Parmesan-Reggiano and white truffle oil.

The Blaxican
Three words: Mexican soul food. This truck gets around, so be sure to check out their calendar for a visit near you. You'll find a fusion mash-up of all of your favorite Mexican delights with the down-home Southern comforts of soul cuisine. Try some of their signature tacos with a side of the Mexy Mac n Cheese.
