UPS will turn some of its iconic brown delivery trucks into rolling billboards for pop singer Taylor Swift under an unusual deal announced Friday.

Starting this weekend, Swift’s mug will be plastered on the sides of the trucks as a promotion for the singer’s upcoming album, “reputation,” which is scheduled for release in November.

Trucks plugging the album will initially appear in Atlanta, Nashville and New York City, according to the announcement.

The deal goes beyond advertising. Sandy Springs-based UPS said people who take a picture of one of the Swift-branded trucks “at a safe distance” and tag @ups and #TaylorSwiftDelivery in their social media post “may receive an improved opportunity to buy Taylor Swift tickets.”

UPS also is taking pre-orders of the album through its own website and offering concert trip packages as sweepstakes prizes for people who order. The company said it will be the “official delivery partner” for Swift and will get the new album to retailers “at a precise moment in time,” along with making deliveries of online orders to consumers.

UPS says it has worked with Swift since 2006, when the singer was 16 and launched her first single “Tim McGraw.”
