If you're looking to change jobs this August, you'll find some metro Atlanta companies, schools and agencies making big hires. Whether you'd like to work for the state Department of Juvenile Justice or want snag a position at one of Mercedes-Benz Stadium's new restaurants, you'll have plenty of jobs to choose from.

Metro Atlanta school districts

Even though school is already underway at some metro Atlanta schools, districts are still hiring. Substitutes and bus drivers are almost always needed, and clerical and administrative positions still remain open. DeKalb County schools, for example, has newly posted openings for bookkeepers, secretaries, coaches, assistant principals and more.

Panera Bread

As Panera Bread expands its delivery service nationwide, the company is planning to hire 10,000 new employees by the end of 2017. Atlanta locations are hiring delivery drivers as well as many catering coordinators and bakers. Experience is preferred, but not required, and you'll need to be at least 18 to apply for these positions.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium restaurants

As the stadium prepares to open in time for its first football game on Aug. 26, many of its restaurants are ramping up hiring. A hiring fair is being held on Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Twelve Hotel in Atlanta Station. Positions in restaurants including Kevin Gillespie's GamechangerFox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Castellucci Hospitality Group will be filled.

Aldi

The German grocery chain made big hires in July and is continuing into August. They're hiring at their Tucker, Chamblee, Decatur and Norcross stores, and you can apply for any of these positions in person on Aug. 8 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at a hiring event at the Tucker store (4135 LaVista Road). Associates are being hired (starting at $11.50 an hour), along with shift managers ($16 per manager hour worked) and manager trainees (average of $54,000 a year).

Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice

The state Department of Juvenile Justice is looking for prospective employees in Atlanta, hosting several job fairs in August. Applicants should pass a background check and dress professionally or in their law enforcement or military uniforms. The jobs will offer health and benefits packages, and training is provided.
