Looking for a new job? Many metro Atlanta companies are making big hires this November, with positions ranging from flight attendants to data analysts to retail associates.

Check out the following companies, who are adding employees in metro Atlanta:

Delta Air Lines

Delta is adding more than 1,000 flight attendants, offering a starting salary of about $25,000 a year or more, depending upon your schedule. You'll need to have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, be able to work in the United States and be fluent in English. Fluency in another language and additional education are also pluses.

If you have experience in a job involving the care of safety or others – such as a teacher, member of the military, coach, nurse, firefighter, etc. – you may have an advantage.

Emory University

Emory has hundreds of positions available for faculty and staff members. Openings include jobs for data analysts, nurse clinicians, accounting assistants, medical assistants and associate professors.

The university touts its exceptional benefits and says it has been recognized nationally for its work-life programs.

IKEA is hosting national hiring events, including in Atlanta, to add to their permanent and full-time staff. It's being held on Nov. 9 from 2 to 8 p.m. at IKEA Restaurant, 441 16th St. NW, Atlanta, and they're filling sales, customer service, food service, pricing and merchandising and logistics warehouse positions.

The company says it values a strong desire to learn and the motivation to continually do things better.

Toys R Us and Babies R Us

Both Toys R Us and Babies R Us are continuing to ramp up their holiday hiring for part-time associates. A hiring event will be held at all their stores and distribution centers nationwide on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
