Atlanta-based Delta said it does not expect disruptions at its hub at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Thursday.

The airline said as the storm move across eastern North Carolina, it doesn’t expect flight disruptions but may need to adjust schedules if crosswinds exceed safety limits.

The airline has canceled about 80 flights due to Hurricane Michael, including all of its flights Wednesday in Panama City, Tallahassee, Destin - Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Albany and Valdosta, Ga. and Dothan, Ala.

Delta fare cap on flights to and from Destin, Panama City, Pensacola, Tallahassee and Mobile, is in place through Thursday. The cap is $299 for coach seats and $499 for first class. The airline is also temporarily waiving fees for baggage and pets in the cabin in certain cities.

Delta employees will assess facilities and infrastructure in those cities, and if conditions permit will restart flights there Thursday morning.Hurricane Michael
