A longtime deputy manager at Hartsfield-Jackson International is leaving the airport for a position in Houston, following the path of some other former Atlanta airport executives.

Deputy general manager Balram “B” Bheodari, who leads the Atlanta airport’s public safety and security, operations, maintenance, transportation and other divisions, said he is leaving Hartsfield-Jackson effective April 3 to take a position managing Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport.

“It’s a great opportunity to manage my own airport under the Houston Airport System,” Bheodari said. The Houston Airport System includes Bush Intercontinental, Houston Hobby and Ellington Airport.

Bheodari will report to Mario Diaz, director of the Houston Airport System since 2010 and a former deputy general manager at Hartsfield-Jackson. Diaz also hired Lance Lyttle away from Hartsfield-Jackson, with Lyttle now serving as chief operating officer under Diaz.
