Saturdays are all about style at Sid Mashburn.

Every Saturday in August, the Sid Mashburn Men’s Shop in Atlanta (as well as the shops in LA, Houston, Dallas and Washington, DC) will open early for coffee, donuts, and a lesson on how to do something a little bit better.

If you aren't familiar with the brand, Sid and Ann Mashburn were part of the Westside renaissance when they opened up shop in Atlanta in 2007.

The two met in New York -- he held design posts at J. Crew, Ralph Lauren and others and she was a fashion editor at Vogue and other Conde Nast properties. Their goal with connected men's and women's stores was to create a memorable place where they could offer their own designs along with a selection of their favorite classics.

Now men have the opportunity to upgrade their style in the last days of summer with a series of how to's events.

“One of our goals is to share the economy of time, mind, and money. Sharing and teaching is sort of a red thread through our all of shops, and every Saturday morning we have campus huddle," said Sid Mashburn. "We thought it’d be fun to open that up, serve coffee, donuts, and share something useful for a guys’ life – whether that’s how to tie a tie, or how to pack for a trip, or different ways to fold a pocket square. We want to help him get clothed, and in his right mind.”

The schedule of events is as follows:

  • 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 5: SID FOLDS FIVE: HOW TO DO THE POCKET SQUARE THING
  • 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 12 : TIE A TIE THE SID MASHBURN WAY (AND MAYBE THE EASIEST WAY)
  • 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 19: TIPS FOR TAKING CARE OF YOUR CLOTHES
  • 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 26: LONG TRIP, SHORT TRIP: SID MASHBURN'S GUIDE TO PACKING
