Which Atlanta-produced broadcast scripted shows will come back?

Currently, there are ten scripted broadcast TV shows shot in Atlanta this season, the most ever. And for the first time, all five major networks are represented.

One has already been renewed and four more are likely to come back in the 2018-19 season. Plus, one is already going to conclude: "The Originals" on the CW.

ALREADY RENEWED

"The Gifted" Fox. Critical acclaim and a strong fan following ensured a sophomore year.

LIKELY RENEWED

"MacGyver" CBS. It's a solid contributor on Friday nights and gets great international distribution with a recognizable brand.

"Black Lightning" the CW. This well-done and well-received drama is virtually assured a second year.

"Good Girls" NBC. Decent early ratings and a lucrative Netflix deal means a potentially good future.

"Star" Fox. Ratings are comparable to that of "The Gifted" so chances are positive for a third season.

ON THE BUBBLE

"Dynasty" the CW. Ratings have been disappointing but like "Good Girls," it has a great deal with Netflix and Nicollette Sheridan just showed up as Alexis Carrington.

"The Resident" Fox. It skews older than "Star" but otherwise pulls in similar overall ratings numbers, with 7 million viewers weekly. Its survival is probably contingent upon what else Fox has on its plate for 2018-19.

LIKELY CANCELLED

"Valor" the CW. This military drama did not get a back nine and appeared to be a poor fit for the network.

"Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" ABC. This quirky spiritual series starring Jason Ritter garnered fairly tepid ratings, even for ABC.

ALREADY CANCELLED

"The Originals" the CW. Five seasons and this "Vampire Diaries" spinoff is closing shop after this spring's final episodes air. This was previously announced.
