This past August, TMZ reported that transgender Atlanta resident Amiyah Scott was named a cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

I noted in my story at the time that cast decisions weren't typically made until September, that this probably wasn't a done deal.

Indeed, when the actual cast was announced a few weeks later, Scott was nowhere to be seen. She wasn't even bestowed secondary "friend" status like Sheree Whitfield and Shamea Morton.

Scott made a small appearance in this past Sunday's episode, but I hear she is not expected to show up again.

TMZ today says Scott was offended by the way producers were trying to make her a vixen with a nasty attitude and left the show voluntarily. Bravo declined to comment.

Scott is a model and actress who is well known in the LGBT community. She has about 162,000 fans on Twitter and an impressive 794,000 followers on Instagram.

Yesterday, on her Instagram page, she posted a Twitter message from Kandi Burruss:

Clearly, someone in Scott's camp keeps leaking news to TMZ. The site also broke the news earlier this month that she was part of the pilot for a new Lee Daniels show set in Atlanta focused on a girl group.
