Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi are going to be spending time in metro Atlanta starring in a new TBS series "Miracle Workers."
Last month, Buscemi took over for Owen Wilson for this seven-episode straight-to-series anthology comedy, announced at the Turner's upfront in May. Wilson left in August, causing a delay in the show's production.
Here is how TBS describes the show:
Radcliffe will play Craig, a low-level angel responsible for handling all of humanity's prayers, and Buscemi will play Craig's boss, God, who has pretty much checked out to focus on his favorite hobbies. To prevent Earth's destruction, Craig must achieve his most impossible miracle to date.
This is the first time both actors will be starring in a comedic TV series. Both are better known for their film work. Buscemi led HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" from 2010 to 2014.
The last time Atlanta-based TBS has shot a scripted series in Atlanta was in 2015 when it shot the first season of "The Detour." starring Jason Jones. That series has since moved to other cities and will return for a third season.
