Mike Bell returns to Twitter @mikebellATL

Just shy of four months after a Twitter tirade that led to a three-day suspension, 92.9/The Game afternoon sports talk host Mike Bell has returned to the social media platform (@mikebellATL).

It appears he's starting from scratch with followers. As of 4 p.m. today, he has eight so far, including me. (His previous handle was @mikebell929). Among the first to follow him back: former 790/The Zone colleague Nick Cellini, now a morning host on the Fan (680/93.7)

Bell got in trouble on Twitter in early October when he became incensed that ESPN used softball player Jessica Mendoza as an analyst for a Major League Baseball playoff game. He didn't think she was qualified and on Twitter used a crude "Anchorman" insult to punctuate his thoughts.

Soon after, he took down his Twitter account.

His new descriptive:

I believe women should be able to accomplish anything they set out to do in this world. especially if that goal is replacing Joe Buck.
