This was posted by Rodney Ho on his AJC Radio & TV Talk blog on Monday, November 28, 2016

Georgia native and season 11 "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips will be headlining a Christmas benefit concert in Gainesville December 9 for  St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

It will be held at Brenau University's Pearce Auditorium from 8 to 10 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $200.

Sam Woolf from "Idol" season 13 will also be there, along with "America's Got Talent' singer Svet.

Carrie Underwood expressed doubts about kids to Redbook before she had Isaiah.

“I was always like, ‘I don’t know about kids. I’m not sure. I think we’re fine. We have a good life. Why would we go messing with it,'” Underwood said.

“It was true, and I think a lot of people feel like that. But he’s the missing piece I didn’t know I was missing,” she said of her little boy.

Clay Aiken, a long-time North Carolina resident, is considering a pad in New York City, according to the New York Post. He was spotted house hunting in the Financial District.

In a People magazine staple, a celebrity (in this case, Fantasia!) reveals her weight-loss secrets!

Her secret isn't all that exciting: high protein, low carb diet and exercise. She lost 20 pounds. The most recent Getty photo of her above is from July.

My colleague Melissa Ruggieri got to meet Jennifer Hudson on the set of "Hairspray Live" a few days back.

Hudson is going to duet with Ariana Grande on December 7 on NBC during the live show. Details here.
