Kicks 101.5 morning host Cadillac Jack suffered a heart attack yesterday and is recuperating following surgery.

The radio station sent out a note saying he received three stents to clear a blockage to one side of his heart.

His wife Donna released a statement: "Caddy was swimming yesterday and began to feel dizzy. Fortunately my nanny forced him to call 911.  It saved his life.  The crazy thing is he just had a physical with an EKG that looked fine.  The doctors credit his commitment to fitness and the fact that he's only 43 for him surviving this serious a heart attack."

Indeed, Cadillac Jack, 43, has lost a lot of weight in recent years and the station photo above does not reflect that.

This morning, he sent out this Tweet:

"The prognosis for Cadillac Jack is good and he should be home to recuperate later this week," Kicks 101.5 program director Scott Lindy said in a statement.  "Our thoughts and prayers are with Caddy, Donna and the kids as he gets back on his feet."

Cadillac Jack has been morning host since 2005 with Dallas McCade. He has been with Kicks since 1993, much of his early years in the afternoon. Kicks has been his only employer his entire adult life, a type of stability rarely seen in Atlanta radio.

Six years ago, Royal Marshall - Neal Boortz's talk show sidekick on News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB - passed at the same age of 43 of a heart attack.
