A convention in Atlanta next month with stars from "The Gilmore Girls," "Gossip Girl" and "90210" was cancelled due to lack of interest. (I had written about it last month.)

On its website, co-creator Autumn Dawn Nierode said just over 100 people had signed up with less than a month out, not enough to merit the cost of holding the convention. The actors included Scott Patterson (Luke on "Gilmore Girls"), Keiko Agena (Lane on "Gilmore Girls"), Matt Czuchry (Logan on "Gilmore Girls") and Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass on "Gossip Girl"). It had been set for March 17 to 19 at the Atlanta Renaissance Waverly.

She and her partners had previously organized a successful "One Tree Hill" convention in Wilimington N.C., which drew 1,300 people. Another one is set for May. She is also organizing a "Grey's Anatomy" convention.

But Nierode in the note said combining multiple shows in this case didn't work. Perhaps holding it in a city where there was no direct connection to any of the shows didn't help. Of course, they didn't have the big two stars from "Gilmore Girls" in Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. For those who did purchase tickets, they are providing full refunds.

You know we care. Postponing indefinitely was the last thing we wanted, with today's world of shady conventions. We ask for your understanding and look forward to our other events with you.
