CBS acknowledged that there was an unspecified "workplace concern" regarding "NCIS" actress Pauley Perrette, who left the show earlier this month after 15 seasons.

Perrette, who grew up in Roswell and has played forensic scientist Abby Sciuto since the show debuted in 2003, posted some shocking but vague Tweets earlier this week saying there had been "multiple physical assaults" that may have factored into her departure.

CBS said in a statement that more than a year ago, Perrette "came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

She responded Tuesday night on Twitter by giving CBS kudos: "I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back."

So whatever beef she has is not with the suits but with folks inside the show leaking what she thinks are false narratives about why she left.

"There is a 'machine' keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine,' " she wrote.
