Broadcaster Niecey Shaw joins Classix 102.9

Niecey Shaw has joined the lineup on Classix 102.9, and will be broadcasting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the station announced in a news release.

Shaw is a Brooklyn native with Jamaican and Panamanian heritage and plenty of Georgia roots, hailing from Redan High School in DeKalb County and Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta. She'll treat listeners to a classic R&B playlist featuring artists such as Rick James, Prince, The Gap Band, Earth Wind & Fire and The Whispers.

Tom Joyner joins 102.9

“She is a great local fit between two of the most influential shows in the country, 'The Tom Joyner Morning Show' and 'The DL Hughley' show in the afternoons,” RVP/GM Tim Davies said in a statement.

Added Classix 102.9 Program Director Erwin Hill: “We are so excited to welcome Niecey Shaw to Classix 1029. She has the experience and professionalism to reach our targeted demo. Niecey is a great addition to the Radio One family and we are happy to have her.”
