TV best bets with 'Marvel's The Punisher,' 'American Horror Story,' 'The Mindy Project' series finale

Mindy Kaling's 'The Mindy Project" ends its six-season run, partly on Hulu, on Tuesday.

In the meantime, some shows wrap up their seasons including "American Horror Story" Tuesday on FX and "Project Runway" on Thursday.

And Netflix Friday releases its umpteenth Marvel series, this time "The Punisher" featuring "Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal. It's getting good reviews.

This covers Monday, November 13 through Sunday, November 19, 2017.

MONDAY

"Kevin Can Wait" 8 p.m. CBS — Kevin and Vanessa concoct a plan when they fear Rootger might sue them after he slips and injures himself at their office.

"The Voice" 8 p.m. NBC — Atlanta's Jon Mero made it into the playoff round.

"Dancing With the Stars" 8 p.m. ABC — Drew Scott's likability has gotten him into the top six.

"War Dog: A Soldier's Best Friend" 8 p.m. HBO — A tribute to military canines spotlights their service and the bond they form with their handlers that is vital to a soldier's success, survival and return to civilian life.

"Man With a Plan" 8 p.m. CBS (second season debut) — Andi hires a pretty, young babysitter to watch the kids, and gets jealous when her daughter, Kate, goes to her instead for advice.

"The Gifted" 9 p.m. Fox — Eclipse receives a call from his ex-lover, Carmen, and must revisit his dark past in order to protect the Underground.

"Scorpion" 10 p.m. CBS — For Sylvester's birthday, Team Scorpion visits a renaissance festival, but the revelry is cut short when a group tries to rob a nearby police evidence locker.

"The Brave" 10:01 p.m. NBC — When an undocumented drone crashes on the border of Mongolia, the team is forced to investigate the old school way.

"The Good Doctor" 10:01 p.m. ABC — Dr. Shaun Murphy has to confront prejudice from an unlikely source when he takes on the case of a patient with autism.

TUESDAY

"The Mindy Project" 3:01 a.m. Hulu (series finale) — After six seasons, 117 episodes and two different networks, Mindy Kaling's comedy comes to a close.

"The Middle" 8 p.m. ABC — The Hecks take a hectic road trip for Thanksgiving to Frankie's sister's house but soon find themselves running into barriers that could make them late to the feast.

"NCIS" 8 p.m. CBS — An NCIS person of interest in a bribery and fraud case is found murdered after a runner is led to his body by a strange voice.

"Fresh Off the Boat" 8:30 p.m. ABC — The Huangs' idea to skip Thanksgiving doesn't last long when Louis plays matchmaker and invites Grandma's ESL teacher after he notices their flirtation in class.

"Major Crimes" 9 p.m. TNT— As Major Crimes continues to search for the remaining St. Joseph's Three, Sharon finds her personal life threatening her career.

"This is Us" 9 p.m. NBC — Kevin goes back to his high school to accept an award.

"The Mayor" 9:30 p.m. ABC — As the mayor's office plans a tour for the California governor's official visit to Fort Grey, an old rap video of Courtney resurfaces that puts potential funding for their city in jeopardy.

"American Horror Story" 10 p.m. FX (seventh season finale) — Expect a lot more death.

"Damnation" 10 p.m. USA — As Seth and the farmers ward off the treacherous Black Legion vigilante group, Creeley works to learn more about his brother's new life and the woman he shares it with.

"Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" 10 p.m. ABC — Yvette has her reservations when Dave, another celestial being, pops up looking to join her and Kevin on their latest mission.

"NCIS: New Orleans" 10 p.m. CBS — Wade's son, Danny, calls Pride for help after he's attacked at his girlfriend's house and she is now missing.

"Law & Order True Crime" 10:01 p.m. NBC (first season finale) — After the first trial ends with a hung jury and the district attorney refuses to offer the defense a deal, a second trial gets underway with Barry Levin joining the defense team.

WEDNESDAY

"The Blacklist" 8 p.m. NBC — Tom goes missing; and Liz desperately retraces his steps in order to find him.

"Empire" 8 p.m. Fox — The Lyon family stands together as Anika and Hakeem begin a custody battle for Bella.

"Survivor" 8 p.m. CBS — Will the Healers now get plucked off, one by one?

"Dynasty" 9 p.m. the CW — Fristal's houseguest puts Blake in an awkward position.

"Queen Sugar" 9 p.m. OWN (second season finale) — Charley's shocking plan to save her business puts her relationship with Remy in jeopardy.

"The Voice" 9 p.m. NBC (special night, special time) — Another playoff round.

"Modern Family" 9 p.m. ABC — Jay honors the entire family on their recent successes during the Thanksgiving toast, even though that isn't quite true.

"Criminal Minds" 10 p.m. CBS — The BAU searches for an unsub in Austin, Texas, who is targeting prominent members of the community.

"Chicago PD" 10 p.m. NBC — In the wake of several gang-related child abductions, Intelligence must race against time to find a kidnapped boy.

"Designated Survivor" 10 p.m. ABC — When a Turkish activist ignites protests in the U.S., Turkey's president demands his extradition while the first family unknowingly finds themselves in the center of a battle that could threaten Leo's future.

"Mr. Robot" 10 p.m. FX — Elliot faces off with Mr. Robot; Dom grows tired of red tape.

THURSDAY

"There's Johnny" 3:01 a.m. Hulu (new series) — A 19-year-old Nebraskan Andy Klavin becomes a gofer at Carson's "The Tonight Show" in 1972, just after its move to Burbank.

"The Big Bang Theory" 8 p.m. CBS — Leonard and Wolowitz are furious after they learn Sheldon went to work with the military behind their backs.

"Gotham " 8 p.m. Fox — Professor Pyg continues to torment Gotham city.

"Grey's Anatomy " 8 p.m. ABC — A hacker compromises the hospital's computer system, causing monitors, phones, labs and patient files to all go down.

"Project Runway" 9 p.m. Lifetime (16th season finale) — Atlanta's Kenya Freeman controversially got cut last week before Fashion Week.

"Mom" 9:01 p.m. CBS — Christy discovers she and her younger classmate, Cooper, make a good team both in and out of the classroom.

"How to Get Away With Murder" 10 p.m. ABC — Annalise is confronted with disturbing news involving one of Isaac's patients that puts her sobriety at risk.

"Marvel's The Punisher3:01 a.m. Netflix (new series)  — After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York's criminal underworld.

"Blindspot"  8 p.m. NBC  — As the team chases a deadly bomber who's terrorizing Manhattan, Jane uncovers a shattering secret from her youth.

"Hell's Kitchen"  8 p.m. Fox  — Chef Ramsay gives the 12 remaining contestants a tutorial on how to best prepare six of the show's most popular dishes.

"MacGyver"  8 p.m. CBS  — When MacGyver and Jack "steal" a priceless painting, using a table cloth and a shoe lace, in order to draw an infamous stolen art dealer out of hiding, they wind up getting conned out of the painting by the dealer's team.

"Night of Too Many Stars" 8 p.m. Saturday HBO  — Jon Stewart's annual fundraiser for autism (now not including Louis C.K.)

"I Am Elizabeth Smart" 8 p.m. Saturday Lifetime —A retelling of Elizabeth Smart's abduction from her Salt Lake City home by a religious fanatic who starved, drugged, raped and subjected her to bizarre religious rituals until she enabled her own rescue nine months later. Narrated by Elizabeth Smart.

"Saturday Night Live" 11:29 p.m. Saturday NBC — Chance the Rapper hosts.

"American Music Awards" 8 p.m. Sunday ABC —  You might want to call this the "Lesser Grammys."

"Outlander" 8 p.m. Sunday Starz — Claire races to discover the source of an epidemic aboard a disease-stricken ship before hundreds of sailors die.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" 10 p.m. Sunday HBO — Bridget (Lauren Graham) asks Larry (Larry David) for a favor on behalf of her son.

"SMILF" 10 p.m. Sunday Showtime — Nelson convinces Bridge to use visualization techniques to improve her life.
