The big return this week is Hulu's grim "The Handmaid's Tale" on Wednesday.

Some other shows return including Atlanta-produced "Brockmire" on IFC and FXX's "Archer" both on Wednesday. CBS brings back "Code Black" Wednesday as well and ABC's "Quantico" comes back for a third season Thursday with a new direction and new showrunner.

Netflix's most notable offering is a four-part documentary on Bobby Kennedy.

This covers Monday, April 23 through Sunday, April 29, 2018.

MONDAY

"American Idol" 8 p.m. Fox — The top 10 named.

"The Voice" 8 p.m. NBC — The top 12 perform.

"The Resident" 9 p.m. Fox — When Nic finds herself under investigation in Lily's death, Conrad comes to her defense, but ends up making the situation worse.

"The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special 2018" 10 p.m. CBS — Christina Aguilera joins James Corden for "Carpool Karaoke"; and Anna Faris and Allison Janney ("Mom"), Kunal Nayyar ("The Big Bang Theory"), and Iain Armitage ("Young Sheldon") join for "Crosswalk the Musical: The Sound of Music.

"Good Girls" 10:01 p.m. NBC — Rio asks the women to complete a seemingly simple job so he can get the operation up and running, but Beth, Ruby, and Annie fear there may be more to the task than meets the eye.

"McMafia" 11:10 p.m. AMC — Alex flies to Moscow unaware of his father's actions, and Vadim and Ilya are lying in wait for him. Alex has to draw on all his resources to survive.

TUESDAY

"The 100" 9 p.m. the CW (fifth season debut) — Clarke struggles to survive on a desolate, scorched earth. Meanwhile, her friends in space come across a long-awaited beacon of hope.

"Genius: Picasso" 9 p.m. NGC (second season debut) — Pablo Picasso contends with the rising threat of fascism in Spain.

"New Girl" 9:30 p.m. Fox — Nervous about Ruth's interview at a prestigious pre-school, Schmidt recruits Jess to help her prepare.

"Chicago Med" 10 p.m. NBC — After a 10-year-old boy is admitted to the hospital, Dr. Manning and Dr. Halstead disagree on how to best handle the boy's parents.

"Deception" 10 p.m. ABC (special night) — When the Mystery Woman kidnaps Cameron, the FBI calls on Jonathan Black to help find him—and stop the Mystery Woman from committing her next crime.

"Legion" 10 p.m. FX — David is tested.

"Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and Biggie Smalls" 10 p.m. USA — The Task Force has a new target. Poole runs into his old partner, who has updates on the Biggie case. Voletta Wallace visits her son's hotel room the day after his death.

WEDNESDAY

"The Handmaid's Tale" 3:01 a.m. Hulu (second season debut) — It's punishment time for the ladies who refused to stone poor Janine.

"Empire" 8 p.m. Fox — Lucious and Thirsty try to squash Eddie's takeover by confronting him with legal papers.

"The Blacklist" 8 p.m. NBC — Liz uses intel from an unexpected source to force a race with Red to uncover the secrets he holds, as Red initiates a plan to retrieve the duffel bag of bones.
