Bert Show adds fourth team member: Maurice 'Moe' Mitchell

Bert Weiss, who runs the Bert Show, has found a replacement for Brian Moote: stand-up comedian Maurice " Moe" Mitchell.

Weiss introduced the new cast member at the Punchline Comedy Club Tuesday night.

On air, Weiss this morning said some folks figured out who he was early because Weiss, his girlfriend and the radio station started following Mitchell.

Mitchell joins the show soon after Weiss added Davi Crummins, his first inside promotion to the full-time on-air staff.

Weiss said Mitchell - the first minority hire as a full-time on-air personality for the Bert Show - does not have a radio background like his predecessors. Weiss said he liked him because of his funny YouTube videos.

He broke Mitchell into the show with a "Plead the Fifth" segment where he asked him five potentially embarrassing questions. He said the worst place he had to pee was in a car. He did wake up one time to a stranger. And he one time created a fake social media account to defend his YouTube videos.

This is the first time Weiss had had four members on his on-air team in six years. He has relied on three in recent years.

Moote left to co host his own morning show in Los Angeles earlier this year.
