Netflix is giving its reboot of "Queer Eye" another season after bringing it back from a decade-long hiatus.
The show shot enough episodes in metro Atlanta last year to cover not only the first season but also a second season, a spokesman said. A release date for season two has not been announced.
The ground-breaking original show aired on Bravo in the mid-2000s. The revamped Netflix version includes five new gay men with different expertise who help both straight and gay clients learn how to live better lives. It has received mostly plaudits from critics and fans. On imdb.com, 2,780 reviewers gave it an average of 8.7 out of 10, an impressively high rating, especially for an unscripted show. Critics on metacritic gave it a sold 73 out of 100.
Netflix doesn't release ratings.
The streaming service also renewed four other unscripted series: "Dope" (about the war on drugs), "Drug Lord" (about notorious kingpins),"Nailed It!" (a baking show) and "The Toys That Made Us" (about iconic toys).
It also announced a third season of sitcom "One Day at a Time."
