Netflix extended a licensing deal that was set to expire this week to keep Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" on its streaming service.
The Emmy-winning travelogue show was supposed to be taken off the service on Friday, June 16. But after fans exhorted the company to keep it on, Netflix agreed to air “Parts Unknown” an unspecified several months longer.
Bourdain was in the middle of shooting season 12 when he died of suicide last week in France. Season 11 is airing on its home network of CNN on Sunday night. Netflix has first eight seasons, which aired from 2013 to 2016, available for subscribers.
