Usher, Future will perform at BET Awards

Atlanta will be well-represented at the 16th annual BET Awards later this month.

Usher and Future have joined the performance lineup that also features Bryson Tiller, Alicia Keys and Maxwell. Last week, it was announced that Sheila E., The Roots, Janelle Monae and D’Angelo will pay tribute to Prince during the June 26 ceremony.

Usher last week released the new singles, "Crash" and "No Limit" (featuring Young Thug) from his upcoming eighth studio album. His performance as Sugar Ray Leonard in the Roberto Duran biopic "Hands of Stone" will be released Aug. 26.

Among those taking the stage to present awards are DJ Khaled, Gabrielle Union, a team of “Music Moguls” including Jermaine Dupri and Damon Dash, Fantasia, Tinashe and Regina Hall.

Fans who want to utilize their social media interests can unlock the name of a “secret performer” by using the hashtag #BETAwardsReveal on Twitter and Facebook. Once the hashtag is used, your social avatar will reveal a photo of the must-see performer.

The show, hosted by “Black-ish” stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, will air at 8 p.m. on BET.
