The ever-busy Ed Roland will release the second album from The Sweet Tea Project on Friday.
Roland, best known as the dynamic frontman for Collective Soul, started his Sweet Tea side project in 2013 with the debut, “Devils ‘n Darlins,” and continues with the new “Alder Lane Farm.”
Fans can pre-order the album via iTunes and receive the first single, “Evangeline,” instantly. A preview and stream of the album can be found here , and a video for “Evangeline” (filmed at Eddie’s Attic) here .
Joining Roland in The Sweet Tea Project are bassist Brian Bisky, who wrote “Evangeline,” as well as Christopher Alan Yates on banjo and trumpet, Jesse Tripplet on guitar and Mike Rizzi on drums.
The band will perform Oct. 21 at Grayson Blues and Brews Craft Beer Festival at Grayson Community Park.
