Although The Masquerade had hoped to be a month into its new digs on westside by now, a recent lawsuit to prevent the music venue from relocating near the WestTown subdivision thwarted those plans.

The beloved rock venue continued to operate from its longtime home on North Avenue – where it’s being displaced to make room for a $60 million mixed-use community – but will now temporarily relocate to Kenny’s Alley, adjacent to Underground Atlanta downtown.

As of late October, The Masquerade will take over three spaces, which will be labeled Heaven, Hell and Purgatory – the signature brandings of the venue. Renovations are currently underway to transform the spaces and make them concert-ready. Masquerade management said the spaces will “virtually mimic” the three performance areas in the North Avenue location, allowing fans to walk among the trio of live music spots.

Additionally, there are two attached parking decks at the Kenny’s Alley space.

No shows will be affected by the temporary move.
