Live Nation offering $20 tickets for National Concert Day

BY MELISSA RUGGIERI/AJC Music Scene

[Congrats to randomly selected winner Debbie C.!]

Live Nation’s “National Concert Day” promotion kicks off today (May 1) with a stack of tickets to dozens of area shows on sale for $20 (including fees).

The ticket bonanza continues through May 9, though as you might guess, a limited number of $20 tickets will be available for each participating show. Tickets can be purchased at www.livenation.com.

A full list of the Atlanta concerts available for the promotion can be found here . But some of the artists are Future (May 5 at Lakewood); Kings of Leon (May 11 at Lakewood); Luke Bryan (June 15 at Verizon Amphitheatre); T.I. (June 18 at Coca-Cola Roxy); Sheryl Crow (June 25 at Chastain); and Hans Zimmer (July 18 at Verizon Amphitheatre).

To complement the promotion, Live Nation has given me some tickets to give away every day this week.

We’ll start with a choice of classic rock shows. One randomly selected winner can choose a pair of tickets to one of the following shows:

Chicago with The Doobie Brothers: June 23 at Verizon Amphitheatre

Boston with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts: July 19 at Verizon Amphitheatre

Styx with REO Speedwagon: July 23 at Verizon Amphitheatre

The Moody Blues: July 23 at Chastain Amphitheatre

Blondie with Garbage: Aug. 6 at Chastain Amphitheatre

To enter: Send me an email at mruggieri@ajc.com by 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 3. Please put “Classic Rock Tickets” in the subject line or I won’t see your email, and if I don’t see your email, you will have zero chance of winning. In the email, please let me know which show you’d like to attend if you should win.

I will randomly select a winner and contact that person directly (as well as post it here).

Good luck!
