Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, welcomed a son on Friday.

Memphis Aldean Williams was born in Nashville and weighed in at 9 lbs., 5 oz.

In an Instagram post celebrating the arrival of his "little man," Athens native Aldean noted the "roller coaster ride" of the past year, a reference, no doubt, to the mass killing in Las Vegas in October. Aldean was performing onstage during the Route 91 Harvest Festival when the shooting began and was rushed to safety with the then-pregnant Brittany.

In her own Instagram post, Brittany called the birth of Memphis the happiest day of her life.

This is the first child for the couple, who wed in 2015; Aldean has two daughters with first wife, Jessica Ussery.
