Howard Stern will honor the memory of David Bowie with a musical special at 10 p.m. Friday.

“The Howard Stern Tribute to David Bowie,” featuring a parade of artists inspired by Bowie performing his songs, will debut on SiriusXM’s Howard 101 channel and also be available on demand on the SiriusXM app.

The broadcast will be hosted by longtime Bowie producer Tony Visconti and include 25 performances. Among them are Peter Frampton performing “Rebel Rebel” live, Garbage (“Starman”), Michael Penn and Aimee Mann (“After All”), The Struts (“Suffragette City”), Lisa Loeb (“All the Young Dudes”), Shawn Colvin (“Heroes”), Bleachers (“Ziggy Stardust”) and Daryl Hall (“Fame”).

Each artist selected and performed their songs exclusively for the radio special.

"He was always evolving, he was always on top of things, he was just a great musician and a great songwriter and a great singer. I want to make sure that people remember David Bowie,” Stern said in a statement.

Bowie died in January 2016.
