Gucci Mane to play Spotify rap tour kickoff at the Tabernacle

Gucci Mane will launch Spotify’s “RapCaviar Live” tour with a show Aug. 12 at the Tabernacle.

The six-city hip-hop tour is inspired by the Spotify playlist of the same name, which boasts more than 7 million followers.

Joining Gucci Mane at the Atlanta date is fellow hometowner Mike Will Made It, along with other guests.

The tour is also set to hit Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto.

“Gucci was an early believer in what we are doing and it’s gonna be beautiful to see it manifest live. Taking RapCaviar on the road was just a dream for us a few years ago. This is an important milestone for Spotify, for RapCaviar, and for hip-hop in the streaming age,” said Tuma Basa, head of hip-hop at Spotify.

Tickets for the all-ages Tabernacle concert – which begins at 9 p.m. – are $60-$90 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. June 30 via and by calling 1-800-745-3000.

The first two rows of sections 201-206 will be sold as reserved seating. The remainder of the balconies and the floor is general admission.

Gucci Mane performed earlier in June at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash concert at Philips Arena.
