Future has a major spotlight as the current Rolling Stone cover guy, but the drama with baby mama Ciara always seems to overshadow his professional accomplishments.

TMZ reported Tuesday that as part of her ongoing defamation suit against the Atlanta rapper and father of her 2-year-old son, Ciara claimed Future's "socially irresponsible" behavior has caused her to fear for her boyfriend's life.

That boyfriend – actually, fiancé – is, of course, Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, who angered Future last summer by publicly pushing Future Jr. in his stroller while out with Ciara.

Ciara’s concern is with a social media post allegedly created by Future last year that showed a string of emojis – two footballs followed by three guns – as well as his recently released track with DJ Esco. On the song “Juice,” Future raps, “Tryna f--k my baby mama, dog what’s up with you? You gon’ make me get that heat, I’m pulling up on you.”

Last year, Future denied posting the emojis in an interview with The Breakfast Club on New York hip-hop station Power 105.1.

“Nah, man, I didn’t do that. But they thought I did it. I wouldn’t do something like that,” he said.

In February, Atlanta-born Ciara filed a $15 million defamation suit against Future, which claimed that malicious tweets and interviews about their personal lives damaged her career. Last month, according to the New York Daily News , Future dropped his countersuit after winning joint custody of Future Jr.

In Future's Rolling Stone cover story , which details his love of "Dirty Sprite" and Atlanta strip clubs as well as his superhuman level of productivity, the rapper reluctantly discussed the situation with Ciara.

“I never imagined my life would be like that: 'I'm going to sue you and take away from you’,” he said.

In one excerpt: A source close to Ciara accused Future of wishing failure upon her, but he denies that. "I would never wish that," he says. "Her being successful, her being happy, helps me." He starts addressing her directly. "I'm attached to you. If you're happy, I'm happy. You're connected for life. I don't want you to go through this shit and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation."

Future took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to throw some shade Ciara's way.
