Charlie Wilson announces Atlanta concert date in March

The indefatigable Charlie Wilson will return to Atlanta to promote his upcoming album, "In It To Win It."

The R&B-soul man known to fans as "Uncle Charlie" will swing through Philips Arena at 7:30 p.m. March 4 with guests Fantasia, Johnny Gill and Solero.

Tickets are $49.50-$104 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 13 at the venue box office as well as www.ticketmaster.com and by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Wilson’s new album, due Feb. 17, features Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Robin Thicke, Wiz Khalifa and T.I. The first single from the album, “I’m Blessed,” will be released soon.

The singer last played Atlanta – a city he said has always been good to him – in February 2015.
