2 Chainz kicks off tour in pink wheelchair

2 Chainz is making the best of an uncomfortable situation.

The Atlanta rapper broke his leg the weekend before his tour was to kick off with a sold-out, hometown concert at the Tabernacle.

Though doctors told him he would likely have to cancel the entire outing to heal, he resumed the tour Thursday night in Tucson, Ariz., with a novelty approach – he performed in a pink wheelchair, in keeping with the color motif of his new album, “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.”

In an Instagram post, 2 Chainz promoted resiliency and told fans, “never let anyone or anything get in the way of you being great!”

A rescheduled Atlanta date for 2 Chainz is expected to be announced soon.

2 Chainz isn’t the first artist to make the best of a bum leg. In 2015, Dave Grohl took the stage at Centennial Olympic Park in a customized throne. The Foo Fighters frontman had broken his leg after tumbling from the stage earlier in the tour.

A year later, Grohl loaned the contraption to Axl Rose to use after the Guns ‘N Roses yowler broke his foot prior to the band’s “Not in This Lifetime” tour kickoff.

Irreversible muscle damage linked to statins

Where to find snow and fun near Atlanta this holiday season

More than just a song about the ones you used to know, a white Christmas can be magical. Snowflakes create the chance for snowball fights, fireside romance and everything in between. Living in Georgia, though, means a winter wonderland isn't very likely – and you might be stuck in traffic anyway. Luckily, if you've got your two front teeth...
