Atlanta Dylan fans will have to take a road trip to see him this year.

Bob Dylan announced a spate of concert dates that includes a good chunk of Georgia – Macon, Savannah and Augusta – but not Atlanta.

Patience, grasshoppers.

With a few exceptions (Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando), Dylan is primarily hitting small-to-midsize markets on this leg of the tour, which runs Oct. 9 in Midland, Texas through Nov. 11 in Richmond, Ky. Major markets will be in the mix in 2019.

Dylan last played Atlanta in 2015 with a show at the Fox Theatre.

Those who want to drive elsewhere in Georgia to see the Nobel Prize winner on his “Never Ending Tour” can catch him Oct. 27 at City Auditorium in Macon; Nov. 6 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah; and Nov. 7 at The Bell Auditorium in Augusta.

Tickets for the shows are on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 10 via www.ticketmaster.com for Macon ($49.50-$119.50); event.etix.com for Savannah ($51-$81); and www.augustaentertainmentcomplex.com for Augusta (ticket prices N/A).
