Beyonce would have been the first female artist to headline Coachella since Bjork in 2007, but her pregnancy has nixed those plans.

The singer, who is expecting twins , has pulled out of her headlining slot at the two-weekend festival in Indio, Calif.

Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment released a statement that confirmed she will be back for the 2018 festival: "Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, (Coachella producer) Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for understanding."

Goldenvoice hadn't announced a replacement for Beyonce; other headliners at Coachella are Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.

Beyonce showcased her growing baby bump during her performance at the Grammy Awards earlier this month.
