[Update 10:45 a.m.: Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles, confirmed the arrival of the twins with a tweet welcoming them.

TMZ reports the singer gave birth last week to a boy and a girl, but a 'minor issue' has kept them hospitalized.]

The Bey-watch is apparently over as the singer and husband Jay Z have reportedly welcomed the much-anticipated additions to their family.

Sources including Showbiz 411 and People magazine reported late Saturday via a source that Beyonce has given birth to twins. While the super-secretive couple had yet to confirm the news by 2 a.m. Sunday, at least one celebrity, Maxwell, seemed to do so with a tweet congratulating the couple.

It isn't yet known when Beyonce gave birth, though speculation is that the twins arrived in a Los Angeles hospital around June 15, the day Jay Z was supposed to be honored at the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City; he did not attend the ceremony.

The twins' sex is also unknown, though in his taped induction speech for Jay Z, former President Barack Obama indicated that Blue Ivy, the 5-year-old daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z,would have a new pair of sisters.

The Feb. 1 Instagram post featuring Beyonce's announcement of her pregnancy currently has nearly 11 million likes - a record for the social media platform.
