Atlanta Concerts this week: Andra Day, Robin Meade

Dave Koz

The smooth jazz sax man has earned the nickname “Santa Koz” because of the popularity of his annual holiday run. Joining him for the 19th edition are Jonathan Butler, Kenny Lattimore and Ashford & Simpson’s Valerie Simpson. Koz has released five holiday albums, including 2014’s “The 25th of December.”

8 p.m. Dec. 2. $36-$76. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000,

For King + Country

The Christian pop duo based in Nashville will debut their new, original Christmas song, “Glorious,” during this current run of holiday dates. Brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone also intend to stock their show with hits such as “Fix My Eyes,” “Shoulders” and “Priceless,” along with other wintry classics.

With Lauren Daigle. 7 p.m. Dec. 2. $25-$100. First Baptist Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92, Woodstock. 770-926-4428,

Brian Setzer

The official title of the show has grown a bit — SiriusXM Presents the Brian Setzer Orchestra’s 13th Annual Christmas Rocks! Tour — but Mr. Stray Cats is still a dependable rockabilly riff monster. And, good news for ’80s music fans, Setzer indicated in a recent interview to promote his Christmas tour that he and the Stray Cats will reunite soon.

8 p.m. Dec. 3. $35-$75. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000,

Robin Meade

The breezy host of HLN’s “Morning Express” returns to the coziness of Eddie’s Attic for her annual holiday-centric Round Robin shows. She’ll be backed by country rockers Sixwire and will spotlight a set list of original tunes from her two studio albums, as well as some new Christmas songs, which she penned with songwriter Liz Rose, a regular Taylor Swift collaborator. A collection for Toys for Tots also will be in place.

7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 3. $25-$30. Eddie’s Attic, 515-B N. McDonough St., Decatur. 1-877-435-9849,

Andra Day

It’s only been a couple of months since the glamorous Day visited Atlanta for the One Musicfest, but can you ever have too much of this soulful gem? In addition to her potent original material, Day’s shows usually include tributes to artists ranging from Nina Simone to Kendrick Lamar. She’s just that versatile.

With Chloe x Halle. 8 p.m. Dec. 3. $30-$35. Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000,

Jingle Jam

Star 94.1 will present its 15th annual musical holiday feast in Gwinnett, with a parade of radio-friendly acts that will include Train, X Ambassadors, James Bay and Charlie Puth. This year’s event marks a return to a larger venue for the concert. Infinite Energy Center (formerly Gwinnett Arena) served as the usual Jingle Jam home until a shift to “intimate” environments at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in 2014 (with Echosmith, the Script and Lindsey Stirling) and last year at the Fox Theatre (Needtobreathe, Pentatonix and Andy Grammer).

7 p.m. Dec. 4. $31-$101. Infinite Energy Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 770-626-2464,

Garden Detective: Why do cucumbers turn orange?
Garden Detective: Why do cucumbers turn orange?

We started our cucumbers from seeds in the house in April, and once they sprouted we planted them where the pumpkins had been. In time, we started to get “cucumkins.” I didn’t see any pumpkins or cucumbers...
