In the state’s highest classification, 13-0-0 Peachtree Ridge remains the team to beat. Last week, Peachtree Ridge got wins over South Carolina programs Academic Magnet School and Ashley Ridge to remain perfect on the season. The top-10 remained the same as most of the programs took time off for spring break. Brookwood, however, got wins over Farragut, Tenn., Norman North, Oka. and Westminster last week to move its record to 10-4-1.

Dalton remains in the top-ranked position in Class 6A after a break last week. Gainesville moved up to third as Allatoona fell to fourth. Osborne remains in the No. 5 spot. Alpharetta moved from tenth to ninth to replace falling Johns Creek. Houston County moved into the top-10 to replace Johns Creek at the No. 10 spot.

McIntosh is still in the driver’s seat of Class 5A with a 12-1-0 record. Riverwood is still second and Clarkston is holding down third. Johnson-Gainesville moves into the fourth spot after Starr’s Mill fell to sixth. Carrolton, previously sixth, rounds out the top-5. Whitewater moves up to ninth as Cross Keys falls to tenth.

In Class 4A, Marist is still on top with the top-5 staying the same. St. Piux, Blessed Trinity, Druid Hills and Oconee County round it out. If Southeast Whitfield continues its solid play, three wins last week, it will likely make a top-5 move in next week’s rankings. Columbus, Northwest Whitfield, Woodward and Richmond Academy stay in the same spots in the bottom of the rankings.

In a mirror image of last week’s rankings, Westminster is still the team to beat. The Wildcats beat Christian Academy of Knoxville, Tenn. and Oakton, Va. last week but then fell to Brookwood on April 8. Dawson County, Greater Atlanta Christian, Pace Academy and East Hall round out the top-5 in that order. Windsor Forest, at No. 6, got two wins last week and, with continued solid play, could make a push into the top-5.

Benedictine is in control of Class 2A with a 12-2-1 record. The top-5 remains the same with a combined 59 wins between the teams, making it hard to determine the best of the bunch. Pepperell is the biggest story out of 2A, making jump from un-ranked to sixth. Thomasville moved up from ninth to seventh. Gordon Central moved from tenth to ninth and Coosa fell from sixth to eighth. Toombs County, previously seventh, fell to tenth. Vidalia, previously ranked eighth, fell out of the top-10.

With an 11-2-0 record, Walker is the team to beat in Class 1A. Paideia is still in the No. 2 spot, but then things get a bit jumbled. Whitefield Academy jumped from fourth to third as Wesleyan fell to fourth. Atlanta International remains fifth. Mt. De Sales fell from seventh to tenth as Fellowship Christian jumped to seventh. Hebron moved up to eighth and Brookstone moved from tenth to ninth.
